Airboat Boat Ramp Currently Closed for Repairs at Lake Washington Park in Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBORUEN, FLORIDA — The airboat ramp at Lake Washington Park in Melbourne will be closed for public use beginning Wednesday, January 8, for necessary repairs.
Located at 6000 Lake Washington Road in Melbourne, the park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, the boat ramp is currently closed. The project is expected to last one week. The remaining two boat ramps are not affected and will remain open.
This shaded 25.96-acre community river park is along the shore of Lake Washington, which accesses the St. Johns River. The park has ramps for power boats and a launch area for airboats, which will reopen soon. Fishing is popular from the lake and fishing pier.
Parking is available for cars and trailers. Other facilities include restrooms, a large pavilion, picnic shelters, and a playground connected by a paved walkway.
Facilities include a playground, restroom, a 2-lane boat ramp in freshwater for motorized boats and an airboat launch area (currently closed), a pavilion with 29 tables, plus four additional pavilions, a fishing Pier, and rentals available.
Additional fees for water, electricity, serving areas, and kitchens may apply.
