BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Village Bier Garten restaurant at 415 Delannoy Avenue in Historic Downtown Cocoa Village on Florida’s Space Coast has closed.

The Village Bier Garten is a part of BT Brands, and BT stands for Better Taste, and Chief Financial Officer Kenneth Brimmer said the restaurant leadership had numerous challenges.

“We faced an inability to manage the business remotely,” said Brimmer.

“We are working to identify an operator to bring a successful restaurant supported by local management to the location.”

Troy Stephan, owner of the property, said the building is located across from Cocoa Village’s scenic riverfront park and amphitheater, and stands out as one of the area’s most sought-after destinations.

“With its prime location and unique indoor-outdoor design, it offers an exceptional opportunity for a top-tier restaurant,” said Stephan. “Truly a gem in the heart of Cocoa Village, this space is poised to become a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.”

Decades ago, Cocoa Village was established by fishermen and developed by the fruit industry, setting the foundation for its success.

Originally known as Indian River City, the town’s lengthy name was deemed unacceptable by the U.S. Postal Authorities, resulting in various stories about its current name. Despite facing challenges over time, Cocoa Village has managed to preserve its historical appeal and retain its quaint charm.
