Cold Weather Shelter to Open Tonight as Temperatures Drop in Brevard County

In response to the latest forecast from the US National Weather Service in Melbourne, Brevard County Emergency Management has announced the opening of a cold weather shelter for tonight, March 21 in Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA—In response to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Melbourne, Brevard County Emergency Management announced opening a cold weather shelter in Titusville for tonight, March 21.

The forecast calls for clear skies, with a low in the mid-40s. Northeast winds will be around 5 mph, becoming calm after midnight.

LifePointe Ministries, Inc., located at 4220 South Hopkins Avenue, Titusville,  will open tonight at 5 p.m. LifePointe Ministries will also provide dinner and breakfast for guests.

The shelter is a collaboration between Brevard County Emergency Management and local community partners, aimed at providing warmth and safety for residents during tonight’s expected cold temperatures.

Those in need are encouraged to arrive early.
