Florida Tech Hits Program’s Second-Most Threes in Lopsided Win Over Tampa

Florida Tech placed six players in double figures

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech men’s basketball picked up a strong SSC home win Saturday afternoon, defeating the University of Tampa 95–81 at the Clemente Center.
Coming off a victory over Barry, the Panthers carried that momentum into conference play, using balanced scoring and efficient play on both ends to pull away.
Florida Tech placed six players in double figures and controlled the tempo throughout game eleven of the SSC slate.
“We played unselfish and connected. One of our best games on both sides of the ball,” said head coach Will Murphy. “Excited about how many different guys contributed.”

With the win, Florida Tech improves to 8–11 overall and 4–7 in SSC play as the regular season enters its final stretch.
Florida Tech heads back on the road for two straight games next week. The Panthers will travel to Daytona Beach to face Embry-Riddle for the second edition of the Karman Clash on Wednesday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m.
Men’s hoops will wrap up the week on the road at Saint Leo on Saturday, January 31. Tip for the final contest of the week is scheduled for 4 p.m.
