Viera Hospital: America’s Best-In-State Hospitals

For the third straight year, Health First’s Viera Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best-In-State Hospitals 2025.

The annual ranking recognizes the 700 leading hospitals across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, providing crucial insights into the nation’s top healthcare facilities.

The America’s Best-In-State Hospitals ranking has been compiled using hospital quality metrics sourced from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, patient experience surveys (HCAHPS), and a voluntary survey on Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

The list serves as a critical resource for patients seeking high-quality healthcare close to home during times of crisis.

“This Newsweek recognition, once again placing Viera Hospital among the best in Florida, is a tremendous honor for all of our providers, associates, and volunteers,” said Viera Hospital President Dustin Boring.

Only 27 hospitals in the state of Florida are included in this year’s “America’s Best-in-State Hospitals” list, including only 5 in the Central Florida region.

“This Newsweek recognition, once again placing Viera Hospital among the best in Florida, is a tremendous honor for all of our providers, associates, and volunteers,” said Viera Hospital President Dustin Boring.

“Viera is a vibrant and rapidly growing community, and we’re proud to be the trusted healthcare destination for so many families and individuals. This honor reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional care.”

For the fifth straight year, Health First’s Cape Canaveral Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Hospitals – U.S. for 2025. Newsweek partnered with Statista to analyze four types of data sources to select and rank the best hospitals in 30 countries with comparable data.

The methodology included recommendations from medical experts; patient satisfaction surveys; hospital quality metrics on quality of care, hygiene, patient safety and waiting times; and an optional Statista patient-reported outcome measures survey.

The World’s Best Hospitals 2025 ranking includes hospitals from the United States, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, United Kingdom, South Korea, Brazil, India, Spain, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Colombia, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Malaysia, Thailand, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Israel and Singapore.

“Cape Canaveral Hospital ranking among the best hospitals in the nation and state of Florida is a tremendous honor for every one of our clinicians, associates, and volunteers,” said Cape Canaveral Hospital President Andrew Cain.
