SPCA of Brevard Tats for Tails Fundraiser Supports Private No-Kill Animal Rescue Group

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA —  The SPCA of Brevard, in partnership with Hounds Town Space Coast and Iconic Ink, hosted a successful return of its popular Tats for Tails fundraiser from June 20 to 22.

Held at 2025 Murrell Road in Rockledge, the event ran from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day, offering supporters the chance to get inked for a good cause.

Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s edition featured double the number of tattoo artists, ensuring minimal wait times and an even larger turnout.

The event offered $60 flash tattoos from a wide selection of custom sheets, with proceeds benefiting two local nonprofits: the SPCA of Brevard and Duke’s Den.

The SPCA of Brevard, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of “protecting and providing a voice to the homeless animals.”

Founded in 1979 in Titusville, Florida, the SPCA is the largest private no-kill animal rescue group in Brevard, finding homes for more than 2,600 animals a year.

It is the first adoption facility with free-roaming cat rooms in the County, allowing adopters to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting. The SPCA of Brevard also has performed more than 60,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries since 1999.

Duke’s Dog Den is a senior and hospice dog sanctuary in Brevard County, committed to providing a safe and loving haven for older dogs and those with terminal illnesses.

A diverse team of talented artists volunteered their time and skill, helping turn this community event into a celebration of creativity and compassion.

All funds raised went directly toward supporting animal welfare efforts in Brevard County, making the event not only a chance for self-expression but also a meaningful way to contribute to the care of local animals in need.
