BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The City of Cocoa’s communications team was recognized at the Annual Florida Municipal Communicators Association Conference for exemplary communication to effectively engage community members.

The City of Cocoa received a Certificate of Excellence in Government Communications in recognition of its exemplary use of various tools, resources, and technologies to effectively engage with the community.

Residents stay informed through social media channels, a quarterly printed newsletter, a monthly electronic newsletter, news flash articles on CocoaFL.gov, and other communication platforms.

Additionally, Samantha Senger, APR, CPRC, APIO Director of Communication and Economic Development, and Public Information Officer, Jaime Braudrick, MA, each received a Certificate of Excellence in Government Communications.

This certificate recognizes their dedication to serving the City of Cocoa through outstanding work, ongoing training, and active participation in FMCA programming to effectively empower, engage, and communicate with the community.

In addition to these certificates, the City of Cocoa received Honorable Mention in two special categories, selected from entries submitted by cities across Florida: Social Media Campaign for Museum Monday and Marketing Campaign for the Special Event, Annual Economic Development Showcase and Business Market.

A City of Cocoa spokesperson said these achievements highlight the City of Cocoa’s commitment to providing informative and engaging communications for residents, business owners, and visitors.
