Cocoa Beach Police officers respond to reports of a man looking into vehicles along Ocean Beach Boulevard

Cocoa Beach Police officials said officers received reports of a man looking into vehicles along Ocean Beach Boulevard just after 2 a.m. Thursday morning. “Officers quickly responded and located a suspect matching the description in the area,” said a Cocoa Beach police spokesperson. The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Clinton Hynes of Winter Park, and was detained and later arrested for Loitering & Prowling.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach Police officials said officers received reports of a man looking into vehicles along Ocean Beach Boulevard just after 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

“Officers quickly responded and located a suspect matching the description in the area,” said a Cocoa Beach police spokesperson.

The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Clinton Hynes of Winter Park, and was detained and later arrested for Loitering & Prowling.

“A search during his arrest revealed a baggie containing a white substance that field tested positive for cocaine, along with a syringe believed to contain fentanyl,” said a Cocoa Beach police spokesperson.

“Thanks to alert community members who reported the suspicious activity, we were able to act swiftly and help keep Cocoa Beach safe.”

Hynes was ultimately charged with Loitering & Prowling, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. See something, say something—it works.
