Community Credit Union of Florida Appoints Dan Kelley as President and CEO

Kelly brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission, culture, and community

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Board of Directors of Community Credit Union of Florida announced the appointment of Dan Kelley as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2025.

Kelly succeeds Laurie Cappelli, who retired at the end of May after a distinguished tenure marked by transformative growth and a steadfast commitment to member service. With over 20 years of experience in the credit union industry and a proven track record of leadership at CCU Florida,

“Dan has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication throughout his career,” said Board Chair Jim Platman.

“The Board is confident that under his guidance, CCU Florida will continue to thrive and innovate while staying true to our core values of service, integrity, and community impact.”

Dan has held several key leadership roles at CCU Florida, most recently serving as Chief Lending Officer. His strategic oversight has helped drive growth across consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending portfolios while maintaining a strong focus on member experience and financial wellness.

“I am honored and humbled to lead this incredible organization into its next chapter,” said Kelley.

“CCU Florida has a rich legacy of empowering members and strengthening communities. I look forward to building on that foundation with our talented team and continuing to deliver meaningful value to those we serve.”

Kelly holds an MBA from Webster University and is a graduate of the CUES CEO Institute, having earned the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation. He is also a graduate of Leadership Brevard and Leadership Orlando.
