Eastern Florida State College Mens’s and Women’s Tennis Teams Named ITA All-Academic Team

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team on Friday.
The men’s tennis team achieved a 3.35 GPA and is one of 11 programs recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Tomas Kurz, Pablo Garcia, and Konstantin Kukaras were all named ITA Scholar Athletes with a GPA of at least 3.5. The team had two others, Alexandr Achour and Zakaria Achour, each with a GPA of 3.4.
Overall, 61 JUCO men’s student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Women’s tennis team named an ITA All-Academic Team

The Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team, achieving a 3.29 GPA and joining 17 other programs recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore Elena Martinez Prado, who was named the FCSAA Vicki Schnurr award winner, was named a scholar athlete on Friday. Teammates Dasha Moskalenko, Sara Valentina Ladino, and Laura Yans were also named top scholar-athletes by the ITA.
The Titans finished fifth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
It is the fourth consecutive year that the women’s tennis program has been honored by the ITA for being one of the top academic teams.
Overall, 94 JUCO women’s student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
