BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – What another great year we had celebrating with our Annual Independence Day Parade hosted by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Veteran’s Memorial Center.
With so many amazing floats and displays, the parade was a huge success as the participants traveled past hundreds of spectators to show their amazing love for our country!
Even though it was hot as a firecracker out there, with a little relief at the end from some rain, it didn’t stop Brevard County from showing its patriotism and love for our great nation.
Since it was another scorcher, the ice pops seemed like a hit with not only the kids but also all the spectators.
Saint enjoyed the ride in his very first parade, complete with his own personal pool to stay cool! He enjoyed seeing all of the people along the way, and I heard he barked at a few of his four-legged friends as he went by.
I am always so thrilled to see all of the people lining the streets wearing their red, white, and blue, waving their American flags, and honoring our country!
I would like to thank all of our team members for coming out and showing the community how much we appreciate them. Last but not least, thank you to Commissioner Rob Feltner and his wife for once again bringing our entire team Chicken Biscuits from Chick-fil-A in the morning, as they have done every year since we started this great event.
