Right Moves Workshop July 12 Will Empower Aging Road Users with Safety Insights

The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, in collaboration with the City of Cape Canaveral and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, is set to host the second installment of its summer series, Right Moves: A Traffic Safety Series for Aging Road Users. Scheduled for Saturday, July 12, this informative workshop will focus on the theme Engineering, Education, and Enforcement, highlighting how these three critical pillars work together to enhance safety for older adults on the road.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, in collaboration with the City of Cape Canaveral and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, is set to host the second installment of its summer series, Right Moves: A Traffic Safety Series for Aging Road Users.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 12, this informative workshop will focus on the theme Engineering, Education, and Enforcement, highlighting how these three critical pillars work together to enhance safety for older adults on the road.

The event will take place from 9 – 11 a.m. at the City of Cape Canaveral Community Center, located at 7920 Orange Avenue on the second floor.

Through this session, attendees will learn how infrastructure improvements, proactive community outreach, and effective traffic law enforcement initiatives can improve mobility, confidence, and safety for aging drivers in Cape Canaveral.

Registration for this valuable workshop is free and open to individual attendees. The program is part of an ongoing effort to support aging residents in maintaining their independence while navigating local roads safely and confidently.
