BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — Rocio Contreras, a 2023 Nationals Bronze Medalist and a proud member of Brevard’s First Women’s League, is joining the Cape Canaveral Community Center as its new Pickleball Instructor.
You can join Rocio every Monday and Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Cape Canaveral Community Center for an exciting pickleball experience.
Rocio brings her extensive experience, high-energy coaching, and love of the sport to every class. Rocio’s fun and engaging approach will help seasoned players and beginners level up their game while fostering a sense of community on and off the court.
As a bilingual coach, Rocio is dedicated to making pickleball accessible to everyone, but that’s not all.
Outside of pickleball, she’s also a talented artist, blending creativity with strategy both in her artwork and on the court. Her unique background makes her an inspiring and dynamic instructor who’s ready to get you moving, learning, and having fun.

Community Center Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday/Federal Holidays: Building Closed
The City of Cape Canaveral Community Center represents a culmination of endeavors, spanning multiple generations, intended to create an inclusive community-gathering place that supports the recreational interests and needs of Cape Canaveral residents of all ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult to use the facilities.
The Community Center features multipurpose spaces for organized youth and adult activities, as well as flexible space to accommodate meetings and private rentals. It features a high school-sized basketball court, lined for various recreational programs, and can transform into an ample space for events. Additional amenities include a rock-climbing wall, functional fitness equipment, an indoor walking track, and a well-equipped weight room.
