BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Whether you’re driving a car or riding a bike, let me be very clear…if you break the law in Brevard County, we’re going to pull you over.

Last night, Deputy Alec Brannon and FTO Sean Maze were out patrolling the streets of our East Precinct when they observed Henry Jackson commit several violations while riding on an E-bike.

During the interaction, K9 Deputy Lexi Gordon and her K9 Luna arrived on scene and quickly went to work.

It didn’t take K-9 Luna long to give Deputy Gordon the secret sign that meant “I smell drugs,” and before you ask the answer is “No” we won’t tell you what the secret sign is!

Well, regardless, a search of Jackson quickly revealed a wallet in his pocket containing approximately 1.7 grams of Fentanyl and another bag containing approximately 2 grams of cocaine.

Now, if that weren’t bad enough, inside the band of the hat he was wearing was approximately 1.2 grams of cocaine. Oh, wait, there is more, as hidden inside his underwear were three bags containing approximately 6.1 grams of cocaine, 16.5 grams of cocaine, and 7.7 grams of methamphetamine.

When asked about his little portable pharmacy, Jackson said they were drugs, but he didn’t really want to share anything else.

Well, since we are all about sharing, we decided to give Jackson a room he could share with his new friends at Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge where he would be staying for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

Another great job by our Deputies in getting this poison off of our streets before it could make its way into the hands of citizens in our community!!
