Brevard Veterans Memorial Center to Host 9/11 Remembrance Event Sept. 10 at Eau Gallie Civic Center

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Veterans Memorial Center, in partnership with Disabled American Veterans Chapter 32, will host a special 9/11 Remembrance event on Tuesday, September 10, at the Eau Gallie Civic Center in Melbourne.
The gathering will run from 5 – 7:30 p.m. and is free for veterans, first responders and their families, and the public.
The evening will begin with food served at 5 p.m., followed by a ceremony at 6 p.m.. It will feature guest speakers who will reflect on the significance of the day and honor the lives lost and the service of those who continue to protect and support the nation.
In addition to the ceremony, the event will include raffles, a silent auction, and a military art auction, offering attendees the opportunity to participate while supporting local veterans.

Since 1978, the Brevard Veterans Memorial Center and Council have undertaken numerous initiatives to support over 70,000 Brevard Veterans and their families, as well as to help all citizens and visitors learn firsthand about the contributions U.S. veterans have made to make our country great.
As of July 2025, The Fire Watch has designated the VMC a Veteran Safe Place, where our volunteers are trained to help prevent veteran suicide. Our volunteers completed in-person and online training to become qualified.
