Christine Beasley, 49, of Titusville, has been arrested on charges of grand theft and scheme to defraud

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — A longtime employee of Platinum Roofing has been arrested on charges that she embezzled more than $177,000 over a two-year period from the Rockledge-based company.
Law enforcement officials said Christine Beasley, 49, of Titusville, who had worked with the company for years, manipulated payroll records, wrote unauthorized checks, and misused company credit cards between 2023 and 2024.
Beasley now faces charges of grand theft and scheme to defraud.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Beasley inflated her hourly pay, paying herself between $33.75 and $40 per hour instead of her agreed rate of $25.
Despite being on a salary, she also claimed overtime. In 2023, when her salary should have totaled $68,640, she collected more than $94,000. By November 2024, she had already exceeded her annual pay by more than $26,000.
Law enforcement officials said Beasley also wrote company checks to herself and her landlord for nearly $89,000. Additionally, she allegedly charged personal expenses to the company credit card, resulting in more than $36,000 in fraudulent purchases.
The scheme unraveled when Beasley requested an advance on her paycheck but later processed a duplicate payment for herself. That discrepancy raised red flags and triggered a closer review of payroll records.
Sheriff’s Agents calculated the total loss to Platinum Roofing to be more than $177,000 and concluded that her actions were intentional and carried out for personal financial gain.
Beasley was booked into the Brevard County Jail on felony theft and fraud charges with a $30,000 bond.
