BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College athletic teams will play two games on Wednesday, October 8.

The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team returns home for a key Region 8 Conference game on Wednesday night.

The No. 19-ranked Titans will host Polk State College at 7 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium. Eastern Florida State College begins the second round of conference games on a four-game unbeaten streak.

Polk State College won the first meeting of the season 3-2 but has struggled lately, losing three straight games heading into the matchup. The Eagles are led by Marie Narewski, who has scored eight times in 11 games.

Eastern Florida State College’s Avery Bracher, who was named the FCSAA Player of the Week on Tuesday, has scored 10 goals this season, which leads the FCSAA, and has five assists, which is second in the state.

Wednesday night’s game will kick off at 7 p.m., and admission to games at Orlando Health Stadium is free.

The Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference match Wednesday night.

The Titans will travel to Daytona to meet the No. 16-ranked Daytona State College Falcons at 6 p.m. Daytona State College won the first meeting in three sets and is 4-2 in the conference.

Eastern Florida State College enters the match 2-4 in the conference, looking to get back on track after losing three straight.

The Falcons are led by Charizma Lofton, who is averaging 2.85 kills per set, while teammate Abana Teran is averaging 1.87 kills per set. Alice Santoro was named the FCSAA Division I Defensive Player of the Week and is third in the state in blocks per set, averaging 1.16.

Freshman Diara Gaye has at least five kills in each of the past five matches for the Titans, while teammate Jordyn Cox has 203 kills this season, which is third in the state.
