BCSO Training & Recruitment Unit provides all instruction for recruits

SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: I was honored to swear in the graduates of the second class of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Basic Recruit Training Program as Deputy Sheriffs with our agency.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –  I was honored to swear in the graduates of the second class of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Basic Recruit Training Program as Deputy Sheriffs with our agency.

Our Training & Recruitment Unit provides all instruction for recruits, from Defensive Tactics to Vehicle Operations to Firearms Training, ensuring they excel in their preparation to serve as Deputy Sheriffs.

In addition to the hands-on training, the curriculum emphasizes academic standards, with this class achieving an incredible 95.16% academic average.

I could not be more proud of our instructors for the amazing job they did with preparing this class for their journey through the academy.

And also, I am extremely grateful for our partnership with Eastern Florida State College, which works closely with our agency to facilitate each Law Enforcement and Corrections Academy.

To the graduating class…25-L2, you each set the bar high and showed us just how ready you were to join our BCSO family and to help protect our community.

Please join me in congratulating the 12 newest Deputy Sheriffs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office as they begin their journey protecting our incredible citizens.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
