Street Closures Announced for Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade This Saturday

Decorated floats, marching groups, and holiday-themed entries celebrating the season

Motorists traveling through Cocoa and Rockledge this weekend are advised to plan as multiple streets will be temporarily closed to accommodate the annual Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA-ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA — Motorists traveling through Cocoa and Rockledge this weekend are advised to plan as multiple streets will be temporarily closed to accommodate the annual Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13.

According to city officials, the closures will be in effect from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as parade participants line up and the event proceeds through both communities.

In Rockledge, the following roads will be closed during that time:

■ Florida Avenue, from U.S. 1 to Rosa L. Jones Drive
■ Brevard Avenue, for vehicle and participant staging
■ In Cocoa, closures will affect the parade route and surrounding streets, including:
■ Brevard Avenue south of Maryland Avenue
■ Maryland Avenue
■ Delannoy Avenue north of Maryland Avenue
■ Harrison Street

Traffic will be redirected around affected areas, and law enforcement officers and traffic personnel will be on hand to assist with detours and maintain safety along the route.

Drivers who must travel through the area during the closure window are encouraged to allow extra time and seek alternate routes where possible.

The Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade is expected to draw large crowds, with decorated floats, marching groups, and holiday-themed entries celebrating the season and bringing the two communities together for a festive morning.
