Kelvin Johnson arrested for Sexual Battery, Home Invasion Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Violation of Probation

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – These are the kinds of cases I wish we never had to share, and I am glad that they are rare, but on Wednesday, our GAMEOVER Task Force arrested Kelvin Johnson for Sexual Battery, Home Invasion Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Violation of Probation.
On January 5, Deputies responded to a call regarding a female banging on a neighbor’s door, begging for help.
The victim told Deputies that while she was moving out of her residence, she had noticed a male lurking around the area for a few days. That day, the man rushed into her apartment, holding her at knife point, and forced himself on her sexually.
The perpetrator then fled, taking the victim’s phone and car keys with him. The victim was able to give a good description of the male, and through surveillance video located in the surrounding area, Agents were able to obtain images of the suspect.
Ultimately, Johnson was identified as the suspect, and Agent Michelle Sweet-Caporizzo obtained a no-bond warrant, signed by the Honorable Judge Charlie Crawford.

GAMEOVER Task Force Agents quickly went to work and took Johnson into custody on Wednesday. Johnson is currently behind bars at the Brevard County Jail Complex, and that’s where he needs to stay, permanently!
There’s absolutely nothing anyone can say in this situation to make sense of why anyone would do something this evil and vile. My heart breaks for this victim, and we will do everything we can to help her through this time while keeping her perpetrator locked up so he can never victimize anyone else.
Thank you to the neighbor for calling for help, to the responding Deputies, Agents, and Crime Scene Investigators for their swift work in putting this case together, and locating Johnson. I am extremely proud of the work our agency does each and every day to protect our citizen,s and we are blessed to have a community that partners with us in so many ways.
