BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Titusville Police are investigating a residential shooting that left an adult woman injured Tuesday evening in a neighborhood near the 1100 block of Third Avenue.

According to Titusville Police Commander Tyler Wright, officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 6:34 p.m. on January 13 after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Commander Wright said officers immediately began providing life-saving aid until Brevard County Fire Rescue paramedics arrived.

The victim was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment, and authorities said Wednesday that her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and she is expected to survive.

TPD Detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Section, along with crime scene technicians from the Forensics Investigations Section, were called to the scene to conduct a detailed investigation.
