Brevard County Driver Arrested on I-95 After Clocked at 108 MPH Under Florida’s New “Super Speeder” Law

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – For those that don’t know about our Operation Slow Down, they sure will find out the hard way, like Marwan Frouh who tested Florida’s new “Super Speeder” Law.
Dep. McLaughlin of our Traffic Enforcement Unit was continuing our efforts on I-95, when he observed a vehicle passing traffic at a high rate of speed.
The excessive speed was of course confirmed by his radar that clocked the vehicle initially at 97mph and the fun soon began.
Dep. McLaughlin took off after the vehicle and by the time he caught up to him, he registered Frouh’s vehicle going 108mph while continuing to pass other cars.
Frouh made the smart decision of pulling over, and presented an out of state driver license, which was a clue that he doesn’t know what happens when you mess around in Brevard County.
Frouh stated he was on his way to Miami to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately for him, he was going to be taking a detour to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge first, as he was placed under arrest for dangerous and excessive speeds.
Folks, we shouldn’t have to tell everyone to drive safe and follow the laws, but clearly some people need the reminder!! So take this as another warning, because we’re still out there and we are not going away.
