BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Each year the United States Secret Service National Computer Forensics Institute proudly recognizes the top 100 state and local Law Enforcement Officers who serve as Computer Forensic Examiners while working criminal investigations.
The rankings are based on the number of examinations each Agent conducts along with the volume of data they process as evidence in cases.
These Agents see the worst of the worst images and videos in a mass amount every year, and as you can imagine, their work is truly invaluable.
This year there were approximately 5,000 law enforcement officers participating as Forensic Examiners and I am beyond honored to say our team again has not only done an exceptional job, but ranks extremely high in the country for the job they do.
Agent Reggie Hammond earned the distinguished rank of No. 12 in the nation by completing examinations of over 256TB of data, which in perspective is over 85 million books.
Agent Nalicia Bailey ranked No. 18 by examining over 113 TB of data which is about 10 times the size of the Library of Congress and Agent Joseph Bracey ranked No. 19 by examining over 276 TB of data which is roughly equivalent to 1.8 billion high-resolution photos.
I am continuously amazed by the incredible work this team does to keep our children and citizens safe. This job is one of the most difficult of all the things our Deputies do, and they deserve all of this praise and honor.
Please join me in congratulating Agent Hammond, Agent Bailey and Agent Bracey on another incredible year of dedication to our community.
