Titusville Community-Wide Astronomy Moon Party to Conclude Monthlong Artemis II Celebration

Smart digital telescopes will be on site to capture real-time images of the Moon

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville will close out its Moon Month Celebration with the Titusville Moon Party, a community-wide astronomy event scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at Spaceview Park.

The evening gathering will run from 5 – 8 p.m. and is timed to coincide with the city’s celebration of the Artemis II launch throughout February.

Organizers say the Moon Party will offer residents and visitors an opportunity to explore the night sky through a variety of hands-on and educational experiences. The event will feature ten telescopes of various sizes providing live views of the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and other celestial objects visible that evening.

In addition, smart digital telescopes will be on site to capture real-time images of the Moon and deep-sky objects, allowing guests to see astronomical details up close.

An astrophotography exhibit will showcase detailed images of nebulae and other space phenomena, with astronomy experts available to discuss the science and techniques behind the photographs.

Families and younger guests will also find interactive activities, including a scale model of the solar system and opportunities to design their own constellations.

The Moon Party will include a bring-your-own-telescope area, giving amateur astronomers a chance to set up their equipment, share views, and learn from fellow sky watchers. Event organizers encourage community members of all ages to attend and take part in the celebration.

The Titusville Moon Party is expected to serve as a festive conclusion to a month focused on space exploration and the upcoming Artemis II mission, offering an evening of discovery under the Moon and stars at Spaceview Park.
