WATCH REPLAY: The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team picked up its seventh straight win on Wednesday night. The Titans, who are now 8-3 in the conference, used a big second half to pick up the 80-67 victory at Titan Field House.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team picked up its seventh straight win on Wednesday night.

The Titans, who are now 8-3 in the conference, used a big second half to pick up the 80-67 victory at Titan Field House.

Eastern Florida State College was down eight early in the first half, but a 13-3 run capped by a Sean Register Jr. basket gave the Titans a 30-29 lead with under three minutes left in the half. Santa Fe would tie the game 36-36 just before halftime.

Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo made a basket and was fouled, completing a three-point play, and Tyson Wilson made a couple of big baskets as the Titans took a 48-42 lead in the first five minutes of the second half.

Sean Register Jr., who was named the NJCAA Division I Player of the Week on Wednesday, scored 30 points for the third time this season. The freshman also had eight rebounds for the Titans.

Wilson finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, while Misael Cruz Rodriguez had 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.

Harvey Wilson finished with 16 points for Santa Fe, while teammate Alex Pierre-Louis finished with 14 for the Saints.

Eastern Florida State College will be back at home on Saturday afternoon against No. 21 Florida Southwestern State College in a big Citrus Conference matchup. The game will begin around 4 p.m., after the women’s basketball game.
