Titusville Man Charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material After Detectives Find Over 500 Images on His Computer

Griffith is being held on a $350,000 bond
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA –Titusville Police Department announced on Monday that they arrested James Griffith, 56, of Titusville, after an extensive criminal investigation stemming from a call for service after they received information that he was in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
In December 2025, Titusville Police Dispatch received a call for service in reference to a concerned citizen alleging a male, later identified as Griffith, was in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Detectives immediately launched an investigation into these allegations, obtained enough evidence to secure a search warrant for Griffith’s residence.
As a result of the search warrant, Detectives located Griffith’s computer suspected of containing CSAM.
A subsequent search warrant was obtained for Griffith’s computer. Detectives located over 500 images on Griffith’s computer, which met the statutory requirement for CSAM.
On March 25, 2026, an arrest warrant for James Griffith was approved.
Within hours of the arrest warrant being approved, and by using technology through Flock, Griffith was located driving his vehicle where a traffic stop was conducted and he was placed under arrest
James Griffith, of Titusville, is being charged with ten counts of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Conduct by a Child (All Second Degree Felonies).
Griffith is being held at the Brevard County Detention Center under a $350,000 bond
