BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The No. 11 Florida Tech men’s lacrosse team rallied from a four-goal fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Palm Beach Atlantic 9-8 in double overtime on Saturday.

Florida Tech (11-2, 6-0 SSC) fell behind early and trailed 6-3 at halftime and 8-4 in the fourth quarter before mounting a late comeback. Goals from Gavin Stecher and Thomas Strong helped cut the deficit, and Parker Kane scored the equalizer with 1:52 remaining to force overtime.

After a scoreless first overtime, the Panthers secured the win in double overtime when Joe Coveleski scored the game-winner off an assist from Robert McNamara.

Goalie Jax Francisco made 11 saves and became the Sunshine State Conference’s all-time saves leader. Strong, Jack Cornwell and Stecher each recorded multiple goals, while Kane added three points.

“Credit to PBA, they made us work,” said head coach Brad MacArthur. “Our defense kept us in it, and we found a way late.”

Florida Tech will host No. 3 Tampa on Wednesday with the SSC regular-season title on the line.
