Eastern Florida State’s Aracelis Jimenez Honored as FCSAA Division I Softball Player of Week

Eastern Florida State College softball outfielder Aracelis Jimenez is named the FCSAA Division I Softball Player of the Week. It is the second time this season that Jimenez has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College softball outfielder Aracelis Jimenez is named the FCSAA Division I Softball Player of the Week.

It is the second time this season that Jimenez has been named the FCSAA Player of the Week.

The sophomore centerfielder went 10-for-16 in four games last week and had at least two hits in every game.

She scored 7 runs and has now scored 75 times this season, a program record.

Jimenez is now hitting .470 this season, third in the FCSAA, and her 10 hits give her 85 on the season, second in the state.

She also had three stolen bases, which brings her season total to 38 and puts her fifth in the state.

On sophomore day, Jimenez went 6-for-8 in the doubleheader against the College of Central Florida, scoring five runs and driving in three runs.

The Titans are on the road today for a conference doubleheader against Santa Fe to wrap up the regular season.

They have clinched a spot in the FCSAA Division I Softball Championships, which begin May 13.
