BCSO Deputies Recover Stolen Vehicle in Merritt Island, Four Arrested on Drug Charges. (BCSO Image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Just when we thought we had a unicorn a few days ago, another one magically appears.

Follow along closely as this one is a little crazy. Yesterday, Deputies located a stolen vehicle in Merritt Island at the 7-11. One subject, Timothy Alexander, drove the car to the gas station, and another subject, Brandon Jefferson, moved the car from the gas pumps to a parking spot while Deputies were setting up to address everyone and make sure the car could not get out of the parking lot.

While they were about to converge on them, they observed the males about to enter a different vehicle in the parking lot, driven by Kayla Burleson.

They detained the male subjects, and while this was occurring, Burleson and her passenger, Mariah Herzog, were preparing to leave the scene, but were quickly stopped.

Burleson followed commands given by Deputies, but Herzog was slow to comply…and we can only guess why!! Cpl. Scott Stewart and K9 Millie arrived on scene ready to go to work, and if you guessed that Millie gave Cpl. Stewart the official head nod that there were drugs in the car… then you were correct!!

In a bag that was located in the front near Herzog’s feet was cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and small baggies commonly used in packaging drugs for distribution!!

This is where things get crazy…Burleson was driving with an expired license so she took the ride to the lodge (but she methed up and forgot she had drugs and a pipe in her bra which was found while changing at jail booking, leading to more charges).

Jefferson also had an expired license and was also jailed. Herzog was charged with possession with intent to sell (x4), along with onsite VOP…straight to jail!! And last but not least, Alexander was charged with grand theft, DWLS with knowledge, and possession with intent to sell (x4) as he told Deputies the drugs were all his.

Great job by our Deputies on this case, recovering a stolen vehicle, getting drugs off the street and locking criminals up!! You know how it goes folks, if you break the law in Brevard County, you’re going to do the time at Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!!
