Foundation plays critical role in creating opportunities for students and strengthening EFSC

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College Foundation announced the election of its officers for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The newly elected leadership team will support the Foundation’s mission of securing philanthropic resources that expand educational opportunities and enhance student success throughout Brevard County:

Chair: Randy Coleman, Senior Vice President, Merrill Lynch; Vice Chair: Mel Mills, Retired

Treasurer: George Roman, Owner, K&Y Carpet One/ProSource Brevard

EFSC Board of Trustees Appointee: Dr. Kristine Zonka, Administrator and Health Officer, Florida Department of Health in Brevard County

Directors at Large: Ron Gicca, President of Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital; and Jamara Harvin, Owner of Progressive Cleaning and Founder of Tuxedo Impressions, LLC.

“It is an honor to serve again this year as chair of the EFSC Foundation Board,” said Coleman.

“Our Foundation plays a critical role in creating opportunities for students and strengthening EFSC. I look forward to working alongside fellow board members, college leadership, and community partners to continue advancing our mission.”

Eastern Florida State College President Dr. Jim Richey said the Foundation’s volunteer leaders bring exceptional expertise, vision, and dedication to supporting our students and institution. “We are grateful for their willingness to serve and help move the Foundation forward during the coming year,” said President Richey.

The Eastern Florida State College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports Eastern Florida State College’s mission through fundraising, stewardship, and advocacy.
