The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team will meet the Brevard Super Senior 55-Plus All-Star Softball Team at 7 p.m. Saturday at Palm Bay Regional Park in a rematch of last year’s exciting games.

The Wounded Warrior team is a national traveling squad made up of young amputee soldiers from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars that travel the country putting on celebrity games to raise awareness.

They are partnered with the Washington Nationals baseball team, Louisville Slugger, Boombah and others

These young extremely athletic men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputation while serving in the military and war and through extensive rehabilitation, have become competitive athletes again through the use of prosthetics.

Admission is free to the games Saturday, but donations will be gratefully accepted to help support the Wounded Warrior program.
