Palm Bay Fire Rescue Has Busy Day Fighting Brush Fires, Prevents Flames From Reaching Homes

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire Rescue Engine 3 and Engine 5, along with three Brush Truck units and Tender 4, effectively stopped a brush fire near Warner Street in southwest Palm Bay.

The fast-moving fire had two homes in its direct path, and the Palm Bay Fire Rescue units quickly responded and stopped forward progress.

In another brush fire, Palm Bay Fire Rescue responded in northeast Palm Bay near Mariposa Drive, with visible flames reported.

The fire was extinguished by Palm Bay Fire Rescue units as an early notification from neighbors, and a fast attack by PBFR Station 1 helped to vanquish the flames before the fire could spread to nearby homes.
