BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Netflix “Last Chance U” star and former Titusville Terrier Dwight Bobby Bruce, 24, was arrested on Tuesday, March 8, for burglary unoccupied dwell unarmed, grand theft other larceny over $750, under $5,000 and Violation of Probation On-Site.
Bruce’s bond was set at $7,500.
Bruce, who graduated from Titusville High School in 2017, was arrested in 2018 for connection to an armed robbery in Palm Bay where he and two other men stole $450 in cash and an iPhone, according to an arrest report.
During Bruce’s time at Titusville playing outside linebacker for the Terriers, he was named to the Cape Coast Conference all-star team in 2015 and 2016 and honored as the 5A District 14 player of the year in 2016.

Bruce was a featured football player on Netflix’s “Last Chance U,” a series that documented multiple Junior College football teams throughout an entire football season, and tells the story of how they found their way to a Junior College, and where they end up.
Bruce was also recently mentioned in an Esquire article in 2021 that took a look back on some of the stars of the show and said, “If you pull a random Last Chance U fan and ask them who their favorite player in the series’ history is, you’ll get a whole bunch of Bobby Bruce talk.
After facing legal troubles in Season Four, the final episode showed Bruce’s life looking up, having just become a father. Unfortunately, he’s run into trouble since then, including an incident in February 2020, when Palm Bay police arrested Bruce for cocaine possession. Now, his Twitter is full of wholesome parenting moments with his young son.
Bruce, an outside linebacker, recorded 23 tackles in nine games at Independence Community College and was featured on Season 3 and 4 of “Last Chance U.” At the beginning of Season 4 he was let go from Independence Community College after being caught on camera entering a student’s dorm and stealing money.
After college, Bruce briefly played for the Manatee Neptunes of the Arena Football team in 2019.
