Melbourne Police Department Recruiting Officer Baylee Sudman is originally from West Virginia and moved to Melbourne in 2016 to attend Florida Tech.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Department Recruiting Officer Baylee Sudman is originally from West Virginia and moved to Melbourne in 2016 to attend Florida Tech.

After graduating in 2019, she joined the Melbourne Police Department and has served our community ever since.

“I became a police officer because I wanted to support and protect my community.”

As the Recruiting Officer, Sudman plays a vital role in shaping the future of the department.

“I enjoy being the recruiter because I have the opportunity to recruit, hire, and train all of our new officers to become skilled law enforcement professionals. It’s incredibly rewarding to help shape the next generation of officers in our community.”
