BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Former Eau Gallie Commodore and University of Miami defensive back Robert Stafford III announced on Monday that he would be entering the transfer portal.
In August, Stafford provided the Eau Gallie Commodores football team and coaching staff with travel gear for the season.
“What an incredible act of kindness from our very own, Robert Stafford. He provided our entire team and coaching staff with travel gear this season. We love you and appreciate you,” said Eau Gallie football Head Coach Chris Sands.
Stafford redshirted for the Hurricanes last season. Coming out of Eau Gallie High School he was a consensus four-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals.
He was the first Brevard County football player to be selected to the Under Armour All-America Game.
The class of 2023 standout chose Miami over offers from Oregon, Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas among others.
