Viera High School Claim FHSAA Girls Wrestling Class 1A, District 6 Tournament Championship

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Viera High School Girls Varsity Wrestling Team showcased their dominance at the FHSAA Girls Class 1A – District 6 Wrestling Championships on Saturday.

With a stellar performance, the Lady Hawks emerged as the District 6 Champions, securing the title with five individual champions and three runner-ups.

The Viera Lady Hawks finished 12.5 points ahead of District Runner-up Osceola (Kissimmee), demonstrating their depth and skill in the competition.

Regional Championship Qualification

The Top 4 individual place-winners in each weight class have earned their spot at the FHSAA Class 1A – Region 2 Championship Tournament, which will take place Friday, February 21, at Osceola (Kissimmee) High School.

Viera Individual Place-Winners:

• 100lb – Zahar Zouaki – Runner-Up
• 105lb – Elizabeth Pinto – District Champion
• 115lb – Catalina Kenney – District Champion
• 120lb – Isabel Alvarez – District Champion
• 125lb – Olivia Gapud – Runner-Up
• 135lb – Emma Hoppe – District Champion
• 140lb – Malia Santos – 5th Place
• 145lb – Lillian Straessley – Runner-Up
• 190lb – Savanah Nazario – District Champion
