Expect a warm and breezy day across the region, with east to southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph, and occasional gusts reaching up to 25 mph. While isolated showers may pop up across the southern areas this afternoon, conditions will remain mostly dry elsewhere. (NWS Image)
The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecast for Friday calls for sunny skies with a high near 80. A west northwest wind 5 to 15 mph will become north in the afternoon, and winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Expect a warm and breezy day across the region, with east to southeast winds at 10 to 15 mph, and occasional gusts reaching up to 25 mph. While isolated showers may pop up across the southern areas this afternoon, conditions will remain mostly dry elsewhere.

Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to low 80s, making for a comfortable but breezy spring day.

Marine conditions remain hazardous, with poor to dangerous seas, rough surf, and a high risk of rip currents along area beaches.
