BREVARD COUNTY • INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, FLORIDA — The City Council of Indian Harbour Beach will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, July 8, at 7 p.m. to consider a proposed ordinance regulating the parking of low-speed vehicles at designated beach parks.

The meeting will take place in the LTC Norman C. Hayes and Marilyn C. Hayes Council Chamber at City Hall, located at 2055 South Patrick Drive.

The proposed legislation aims to formalize regulations regarding low-speed vehicle parking at beach parks, aligning local enforcement with the definitions and provisions outlined in Florida state law and the City’s own Code of Ordinances.

The ordinance also includes standard clauses concerning severability, repeal of conflicting ordinances, codification, and its effective date.

The full text of the ordinance is available for public review during regular business hours, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., at City Hall. Community members are encouraged to attend the hearing in person or submit written comments to the City Clerk before the meeting.

Residents and interested parties should be aware that, per Chapter 286 of the Florida Statutes, those wishing to appeal any decision made during the hearing will need to ensure that a complete and verbatim record of the proceedings is created, including all evidence and testimony.

City officials also noted that the hearing may be continued to a future date and time without further public notice if necessary.
