The Melbourne Police Department responded to the scene of fatal crash at the Florida East Coast railroad tracks near Masterson involving a pedestrian being struck by a Brightline train.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  The Melbourne Police Department responded to the scene of fatal crash at the Florida East Coast railroad tracks near Masterson Street involving a pedestrian being struck by a Brightline train.

The pedestrian died as a result of the crash.

Based upon the evidence found at the scene, this is being investigated as a suicide. The investigation is still active.
