Police Seek Owner of Husky Found Near Henry Avenue and Bossieux Boulevard in West Melbourne

Lost dog was transfered to the Brevard County Animal Services Center

A husky was discovered early Friday morning in West Melbourne after a resident came across the dog near the intersection of Henry Avenue and Bossieux Boulevard. Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the husky or has information about its owner to contact Brevard County Animal Services at 321-633-2024.  

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — A husky was discovered early Friday morning in West Melbourne after a resident came across the dog near the intersection of Henry Avenue and Bossieux Boulevard.

The dog was last reported as safe and being cared for at Dog Way Grooming Parlor and later scheduled for transfer to the Brevard County Animal Services Center.

Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the husky or has information about its owner to contact Brevard County Animal Services at 321-633-2024.

The dog, found at approximately 8:30 a.m. on August 15, was wearing a collar but had no identifying tags or information to help track down its owner.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit is composed of Investigators, Animal Enforcement Officers, and the Animal Care Center.

These dedicated men and women cover animal complaints for the entire county and provide care to homeless pets. They maintain the information for pet licensing and provide resources throughout the county and state, such as rescues and wildlife facilities.

Administrative offices are located at 2725 Judge Fran Jamison Way, Bldg. A, in Viera and at 1515 Sarno Road Bldg. B, in Melbourne.
