BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With temperatures expected to drop across Central Florida, cold weather shelters will open Monday night, November 10, to provide warmth and safety for those in need.
Three locations throughout Brevard County will be available:
– Titusville: LifePointe Ministries
– Cocoa: Central Brevard Sharing Center
– Melbourne: Daily Bread at Melbourne First Church of the Nazarene
Each shelter will welcome individuals and families seeking refuge from the cold, offering a warm environment and support from local volunteers and community partners.
Residents are encouraged to check on neighbors, particularly seniors and those without adequate heat, and share shelter information with anyone who may need assistance.
Local officials remind the public that cold weather shelters play a crucial role in ensuring safety during temperature drops, especially for the homeless and vulnerable populations.
