Viera (16-4) vs St. Thomas Aquinas (21-2-1)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Viera Hawks Girls Soccer Team is headed to the state semifinals — and a familiar foe stands in the way.
Viera (16-4) will face powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas (21-2-1) Monday morning at 10 a.m. in DeLand with a spot in the state championship match on the line.
The semifinal sets up a highly anticipated rematch. The Hawks’ last loss came on January 17 in Fort Lauderdale against St. Thomas Aquinas, a program known for its postseason success.
Now, on a neutral field with everything at stake, Viera has the opportunity to even the score and punch its ticket to the state title game.
Fueling the Hawks’ run is junior standout Eva McMenemy-Hoang, who has delivered a sensational season with 25 goals.

Her offensive firepower, creativity in the attacking third, and ability to rise in big moments have been central to Viera’s 16-win campaign. She’ll once again be counted on to break through against a disciplined St. Thomas Aquinas defense.
Viera has shown resilience throughout the season, responding to challenges and proving it can compete with the state’s elite programs.
With a balanced attack, strong defensive play, and postseason momentum, the Hawks enter the semifinal battle confident and focused.
Monday’s 10 a.m. kickoff in DeLand will decide who advances to the state championship — and whether Viera can turn its only late-season setback into a statement victory on the biggest stage yet.
