BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Baseball returned to the diamond Sunday afternoon to close out its four-game series against Sioux Falls at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field. Despite a late push from the Panthers, the Cougars pulled away to secure a 10–3 victory in the series finale.

Sioux Falls wasted no time setting the tone. In the top of the first inning, the Cougars launched a two-run home run to claim an early lead. Florida Tech starting pitcher Jake Hershey settled in after the blast, keeping the Panthers within reach during the early innings.

The Cougars added to their advantage in the third inning, pushing across two more runs to extend the lead to 4–0.

Florida Tech’s offense began to show signs of life in the bottom of the third when Marshall Burke ripped a double down the line for the Panthers’ first hit of the afternoon. However, he was stranded at third as Tech continued to search for its first run.

Tyler McClanahan added another hit in the fourth, but Sioux Falls maintained control and built a bigger cushion in the fifth inning, scoring two more runs to make it 6–0.

The Panthers finally responded in the bottom half of the inning. After Burke reached base with a one-out single, Adrian Dominguez stepped to the plate and delivered a powerful line-drive home run over the left-field wall, putting Florida Tech on the scoreboard and cutting the deficit to 6–2.

Momentum briefly shifted toward the Panthers. Following a scoreless relief inning from Jaxon Clampitt, Marcello Cortale blasted a towering solo home run, trimming the Cougar lead to 6–3 and giving Tech hope heading into the late innings.

Unfortunately for Florida Tech, Sioux Falls answered in the top of the eighth with a decisive rally. The Cougars loaded the bases and strung together several key hits, adding four runs to stretch their lead to 10–3.

The Panthers recorded a pair of hits in the final two innings but were unable to spark another comeback as the Cougars closed out the victory.
