BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department is revving up its traffic enforcement capabilities with the addition of a powerful new tool to its fleet.
Officers are now taking to the streets on the high-performance 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Police motorcycles, a model described as the fastest and most technologically advanced police Harley ever built.
The new motorcycles represent a major step forward for the department’s traffic unit. According to the agency, the 2026 model delivers performance levels closer to the company’s high-end Custom Vehicle Operations line than any previous police model.
The upgrades mark a significant improvement from earlier platforms powered by the 107 and 114 engines.
The arrival of the new motorcycles is expected to enhance the department’s ability to patrol city streets, respond quickly to incidents, and enforce traffic laws more effectively.
With increased power and modern technology built into the bikes, officers will have greater capability while operating in a variety of traffic enforcement and public safety situations.
City officials credited the city garage’s Fleet Services Team for preparing the motorcycles for service. The team completed the work needed to ensure the new bikes are ready for deployment as officers begin using them on patrol.
The department said the additions reflect its continued effort to equip officers with modern tools and equipment as they work to keep the community safe.
With the latest motorcycles now joining the fleet, Cocoa police officers are expected to have more power, more technology, and greater capability on the road.
