BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Residents in Cocoa will have an opportunity to sit down for casual conversation with local law enforcement during an upcoming Coffee with a Cop event hosted by the Cocoa Police Department.

The community gathering will take place from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. on March 17 at the Wawa located at 923 W. King Street. The event is designed to give residents a relaxed setting to meet officers, ask questions, and discuss community concerns while sharing a cup of coffee.

Organizers say the format is intentionally informal. There will be no speeches or structured agenda. Instead, the focus is on simple conversation between community members and police officers.

During the one hour event, Wawa will provide free coffee and a donut for attendees. The gathering is part of the national Coffee with a Cop initiative, which aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve by encouraging open dialogue in a comfortable environment.

Community members of all ages are invited to stop by, grab a coffee, and spend a few minutes talking with officers from the Cocoa Police Department.

Organizers hope the casual setting will help build stronger connections and foster trust between residents and local law enforcement.
