Space Coast Honor Flight to Welcome Home Veterans April 11 at Melbourne Orlando International Airport

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The community is invited to gather in support of local veterans returning from Washington, D.C., as the Space Coast Honor Flight hosts a welcome home celebration on Friday, April 11, at Melbourne Orlando International Airport.

The event marks the first of five Honor Flight missions scheduled for 2026, with Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) serving as the presenting sponsor. Organizers are encouraging residents from across the Space Coast to attend and show their appreciation for those who served.

Festivities begin at 8 p.m. when doors open to the public.

From 8:30 to 10 p.m., attendees can enjoy the “Red, White & You” pre-flight party, featuring live music from headliner Panama, along with food trucks and beverages for guests 21 and older.

The highlight of the evening will take place at 10 p.m. with the Veteran Walk of Honor, as returning veterans arrive to a reception filled with applause, American flags, and community pride.

The event will be held at Melbourne Orlando International Airport, located at 1 Air Terminal Parkway. Admission and parking are free, making it an accessible opportunity for families and community members to participate.

Space Coast Honor Flight is part of a national network dedicated to transporting veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials honoring their service and sacrifice. The welcome home celebration is designed to ensure those veterans receive the recognition they deserve upon their return.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring family members, wave flags, and help create a memorable and heartfelt homecoming.
