BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Palm Bay police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Isaac Cohen at Patrick Woodard Memorial Park.
The Palm Bay Police Department announced that 18-year-old Christopher Hriciso and 17-year-old Caleb Davis were arrested on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm. Police said Davis will be charged as an adult.
Officers responded to Patrick Woodard Memorial Park on August 26 following reports of a shooting. Cohen was found fatally wounded and later identified as the victim.
According to police, detectives used digital forensic methods and evidence recovered from Cohen’s vehicle to determine that the shooting was apparently connected to a drug transaction.
Investigators spent the following week executing multiple search warrants, reviewing forensic evidence and surveillance footage, and conducting numerous interviews. Police said the investigation ultimately led detectives to Hriciso and Davis.
“This was a senseless loss of life, and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they go through this unexpected and unimaginable time,” Palm Bay Police Chief Jeff Spears said. “I am incredibly proud of our team as they worked tirelessly around the clock to find answers and seek justice.”
The department acknowledged the community’s interest in the case but said investigators had to protect the integrity of the investigation by releasing information only when appropriate.
The investigation remains ongoing.
