According to Denise Song of Keep Brevard Beautiful, more than 1,800 volunteers have collected more than 37,000 pounds of litter.

She said four more events are planned for Saturday, April 27 in which volunteers from Brevard County airboat associations will participate in a St. Johns River clean up and also clean hunting sites near the river.

The mission of Keep Brevard Beautiful is to motivate and educate business, school, group and individual partnerships to reduce litter, recycle, landscape, and beautify for the environmental and economic benefit of Brevard County.

Song said Keep Brevard Beautiful would like to thank our entire community of volunteers, sponsors, donors and municipalities for their continued support and the group’s efforts to keep Brevard litter free and beautiful.
