BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Congressman Bill Posey will host a Federal Contracting Conference at Florida Tech’s Denius Student Center in Melbourne August 4 – 5.
The event is a chance for government contractors to have one-on-one meetings with procurement representatives from Atlanta and Central Florida to explore new contracting opportunities.
“This is a great opportunity for local businesses that specialize in technology, innovation, defense contracting and services to learn how to navigate the federal procurement process,” said Congressman Posey.
“We applaud Congressman Posey’s commitment to connect Brevard County businesses with the resources needed to be successful in government contracting,” said Lynda Weatherman, president & CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast.
“This conference compliments the EDC’s current GO Contracts program by providing one-on-one meetings for local businesses to establish important personal relationships as they navigate through the contracting process. We encourage our county’s business community to participate.”
“The board of directors and members of the Greater Palm Bay Chamber are looking forward to another successful federal contracting conference this year and applaud Congressman Posey and his office for offering this opportunity to meet with federal agencies and government suppliers to potentially grow their businesses,” said Victoria Northrup, president and CEO for the Palm Bay Chamber.
“This conference is designed to allow open dialogue between federal contractors and procurement representatives. These insightful and highly productive exchanges will provide valuable information to those who are interested in federal contracts,” said Lisa Rice, president of CareerSource Brevard.
