State Attorney Phil Archer Congratulates Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocate On Award

20-year veteran Christina Vinson Honored
BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – I’m very proud to announce Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocate Christina Vinson was selected by the FCASV (Florida Council Against Sexual Violence) to receive the 2016 Elizabeth Knake Outstanding Advocate Award.
Presented annually, the award recognizes an advocate who embodies a commitment to providing outstanding victim-centered and victim-supportive services.
Jennifer Dritt, Executive Director, Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, delivered the following remarks when presenting the award:
“For almost 20 years, Christina Vinson has been an exceptional advocate on behalf of survivors,” said Dritt.
“Her calm, compassionate service and commitment are an inspiration to us all.”
I couldn’t agree more and I hope you will join me in congratulating Christina on her achievement and dedicated service on behalf of victims.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Phil Archer is the elected State Attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida, which includes Brevard and Seminole Counties. Phil was elected State Attorney of the 18th Judicial Circuit for Brevard and Seminole Counties in November of 2012 and took office on January 8, 2013.
Phil served the office as an Assistant State Attorney for over 28 years prior to being elected. He created and ran the nationally recognized Operation Cease-Fire where he was responsible for the review and filing of all firearm related crimes. He supervised the White Collar Crime, Civil and Consumer Fraud unit for over 10 years.
He has won the annual State Attorney Pride In Excellence award twice, the Brevard County Bar Association 2010 Government Attorney Professionalism Award, the Community Partner Award from the Seminole County Bar Association, the 2013 Crimeline State Attorney Award and most recently 2014 Crimeline Dr. Robert Doering Award.
